Hotel 1550 - SFO Airport West

Location, all the staff, thank you all.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They were more than happy to help with anything asked. They recommended a restaurant which served a fabulous meal and allowed us a later check out at no further expense, would definitely recommend as a hotel near the airport and it was only a 10 min drive to return the rental car What more could a traveller want. The breakfast was basic but good enough with toast, coffee and cereal which were very tasty. There was also the use of a trolley to help with baggage. We were able to park the rental car overnight at the hotel at no cost.

I needed to stay here for an overnight transit. Then hotel is clean and service personnel are very courteous and pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were just the right combination of firm and comfortable. There were plenty of reasonably priced eateries within a few minutes walk from the hotel. I ate at two; both were reasonably priced and very good quality. Hotel has a free airport shuttle which was one of the reasons I picked the place. Overall, an excellent choice.

I had to leave too early for breakfast because I had to catch an early flight. I walked to the grocery store and bought a yogurt for the morning. I had just arrived from a 17 hour journey from China and had to leave the next morning on the 4:05 shuttle to the airport to catch a flight back to Michigan. I was exhausted and starving. It would be nice if you could offer people who have to catch the 4:05 shuttle to the airport a yogurt for breakfast for those kinds of days. I needed to eat something and the person at the front desk showed me a restaurant across the street and suggested that I take a walk to the shopping center a mile a way if I wanted something more. That was a great idea. After I rested up a little bit I did that and it made my day. It allowed me to get something to eat and explore the area a little bit. Very enjoyable. I only stayed one night, and left at 4:00am the next day so I didn’t spend much time at the hotel. But all three people at the front desk who I interacted with were great - warm and accommodating. That was nice. That’s why I am taking the time to write this review.

I liked having free parking. Free breakfast is also available from 6-9:30 am in addition to coffees, teas and juices being available to guests 24 hours a day! We had the possibility to pay in cash with a 5% discount on check-in! Old installation but renovated and very clean.
